***************************************************************** Tri-City Ghost Hunters Society of Michigan Presentation On April 21, 2010, the Caro Area District Library hosted a presentation by the Tri-City Ghost Hunters Society of Michigan. The event featured information about the team members, their credentials, their goal for doing the investigations, places they’ve investigated, and some of the audio/visual evidence they’ve collected. The team’s goal is to actually debunk ‘sightings’ and ‘hearings’; most are caused by excessive electromagnetic fields, captured by EMF detectors, digital equipment, and sound recording devices. Those incidences that can’t be explained with technology are recognized as potentially paranormal. The lead investigator was able to capture on camera a shadowy figure in the shape of a man wearing a flat, round-brimmed hat. Other members captured voices, some frighteningly clear. Places investigated include the S-wing of Delta College in University Center, the Comedy Club Inc. (Moose Lodge) of Saginaw, the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, LA, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, West Virginia, and McFadden Ross House Museum in Dearborn. The team will be traveling to Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Kentucky in July of 2010. Approximately 80 people attended the presentation.
